HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!!

Those of you celebrating Thanksgiving today, I wish you and your family a happy one! The gathering is at my house this year, but it's only me, my hubby, The Girl, Serena, and her hubby. Small and intimate. Though I'll miss my family in CT and MA, I'm glad I don't have to deal with travelling.

Anyway, The Girl has asked to hijack the blog today to share a poem and a little blurb she wrote to celebrate Thanksgiving. (She also wants to take over the blog at least once a weekend to write reviews on her own. She specifically said she only wants me to post what she writes AS IS. I think it's cute that she's taking book reviews seriously, but she's mad that I think she's too young for her own blog. She'll just have to deal.) Enough of my blabbering. I'm going to turn it over to The Girl now. (Remember, she's only 8!)

The Thanksgiving Poem

by The Girl

A feast is just like a bird's feast
Nest, feast, seat is a feast
A feast is lots of food you love
Remember it only comes once a year

I am thankful for the feast we will have at Thanksgiving. I am also thankful for my Auntie Serena and Uncle Cris who gather with us every year. I am thankful for my dad and mom.

What a terrific poem! Our celebration is small this year, too - it's my husband and me, our son who's in college and our nephew. Happy Thanksgiving!

Hey, The Girl!

This is a great poem, and a fantastic guest post. I hope you had a super Thanksgiving feast with your family and special friends.

I hope your Mom lets you post your reviews as often as you want to write them (and, I agree, you're too young for your own blog :) )

Keep writing!

The Girl wants me to tell everyone thank you for all the kind words. They brought a smile to her face, which brought a smile to mine. Thank you all!
