Mailbox Monday -- April 13

Happy Monday everyone! Hope those who celebrated had a wonderful Easter. We spent the day with Serena and her hubby, eating a delicious roast and playing Clue, Cranium, and Scrabble. It didn't take too long for The Girl to be bored with Scrabble, though; she is a bit young for it. She won at Clue once and helped the girls win Cranium twice. Those boys didn't stand a chance. :)

On Saturday, Serena and I went to the Conversations & Connections writing conference in Washington, D.C., and we had a blast. Look for my conference post later this week.

Now, it's time for Mailbox Monday, hosted by Marcia at The Printed Page, where we catalog the books welcomed into our homes during the last week. Here's what I received:

Girls in Trucks by Katie Crouch (from Hachette)

Follow Me by Joanna Scott (from Hachette for an Early Birds Blog Tour later this month)

Life: The American Journal of Barack Obama (contest win from Cafe of Dreams...thanks, April!)

East Garrison by G.M. Weger (from Phenix & Phenix)

Precious by Sandra Novack (from the author for a TLC Book Tour next month)

Slipping the Moorings by Susan McCallum-Smith (which I picked up at the writer's conference and had it signed by the author!)

What books did you welcome home recently?

You've got lots of reading ahead of you.

I got an Emily Giffin book from bookmooch and an advance reader copy of The Strain. Something a little different, but good!!
