These mittens are very warm, very soft, and very fuzzy. I love them, except that I should have started the finger decreases a little sooner. They're just a tad too long at the top, but they fit good enough that I can't complain. I like this pattern a lot, and I don't minding knitting mittens flat because seaming isn't all that bad. It's just time-consuming and monotonous...sort of like garter stitch scarves, but I make them anyway.
Well, this is the last post until at least next week. I will not be at work on Christmas Eve because The Girl is playing an angel in our church's Christmas pageant. Hopefully I'll be able to write up a book review or two before the year is up. I'm still reading fairly quickly on the train, just don't have much time to put my thoughts together for an adequate post. Also, I still have tons of finished knits to show you. I did some serious marathon knitting for the homeless during the last couple of months, and I have a couple of Christmas gifts to show you as well.
Until then, I wish you all a very Merry Christmas!

Now, where is that Patriots hat post...lol o right, I still have to photograph it! :)) LOL
Those look warm. I forget is that wool yarn?
One of the yarns is wool, and the fuzzy one is mohair.
On Christmas day, I'll have the hat for you to photograph, and the dragon I made The Girl. Whether I post the dragon picture remains to be seen....
lol you just worried it no look like a dragon! i am sure it looks fine!
Uh...you haven't seen it yet. It's, well, interesting.
Those sure look warm! I love Fleece Artist colorways. I want them ALL! ;O)
I wish I was better at seaming, my seams are always wonky! I tend to do more things in the round because I'm so bad at it!
Have a Great Holiday Season Anna!!!! :)
Fleece Artist rocks!
As for seaming, sometimes I do them good, other times not so good. I guess it depends on the type of yarn and whether or not I'm distracted. Sometimes I just have no patience. I really should knit things in the round more often, but I guess I just like to make things more difficult!
I'm saying this after the Patriots Hat debacle. (More on that later!)
Those look great, I have never tried mittens, one of those things I keep meaning to do, like cables.
But I am certainly going to try those!
Hope you guys had a great Xmas .....
Bethany
Thanks! You definitely should try mittens. They're addicting, at least they are for me because they are a quick knit...and quite useful!
