Book Buzz Tag and 6 Quirky Things About Me

I was tagged for some memes awhile ago. I'm a bit late in responding, but since they sounded so interesting I still want to play!!

Book Buzz Tag

Both Shana from Blog.Literarily and Serena from Savvy Verse and Wit tagged me.

Here are the instructions:

I am going to list three categories of books: 3 MUST Read Books, 3 Keep Your Eyes on These, and 3 Look for These Soon. Keeping with the theme, I am going to tag at least 3 bloggers. They should put these same lists on their blogs but SUBTRACT one book from each list and ADD one of their own. Then they should tag at least 3 more bloggers. It will be fun to see how the lists change as they go around the blogosphere. Please come back to this post and leave a comment so I can see how the lists are changing. Since this is Book Buzz...please keep your lists to titles released in 2007-2009.

3 MUST Read Books:

Somebody Else's Daughter by Elizabeth Brundage
Without a Backward Glance by Kate Veitch
The Painter From Shanghai by Jennifer Cody Epstein
(I added the last two. I guess I already failed to listen to instructions, but I really couldn't choose between the two!)

3 Keep Your Eyes on These:

The Memory of Water by Karen White
Seeing Me Naked by Liza Palmer
Going Down South by Bonnie Glover (I added this one; look for my review soon!)

3 Look for These Soon:

Feather Man by Rhyll McMaster
The Good Thief by Hannah Tinti
Testimony by Anita Shreve (I added this one)

Since I'm so late in the game with this one, I don't think there are many people left to tag. I'm going to venture outside the book blogging arena and give my other blog buddies a chance to play.

I tag:
Lady Blogger at Saturday Is Only One Day of the Week
Dawn at Dsknits2
Charlene at The Literary Word
(Please, don't feel obligated to play along!)

6 Quirky Things About Me

Nicole from Book Escape tagged me for this one!

Here are the rules:
1. Link the person(s) who tagged you
2. Mention the rules on your blog
3. Tell about 6 unspectacular quirks of yours
4. Tag 6 fellow bloggers by linking them
5. Leave a comment on each of the tagged blogger's blogs letting them know they've been tagged

Here are my 6 quirky things:

1. I make to-do lists, then misplace them.

2. Sometimes I like to be a hermit, and it drives my husband insane.

3. I people-watch on the train to and from work, and it gives me ideas for characters to use in my stories.

4. If I have to count something out or take a certain number of things, they have to be even numbers. (I know I'm weird!)

5. I'm a little sad that the ghosts in my house have been silent lately.

6. The only thing I've been watching on TV lately is Hogan's Heroes. (Is it weird that I have a major crush on Newkirk???)

Again, don't feel obligated to play along (especially if I tagged you twice or you've already played), but here goes.

I tag:

Serena at Savvy Verse and Wit
Lady Blogger at Saturday Is Only One Day of the Week
Dawn at Dsknits2
Charlene at The Literary Word
Shana at Blog.Literarily
And anyone else who wants to play!!!

I LOOOOOVE people watching too! I generally try to figure out what the relationship between the people is--a couple on a first date, two sisters who haven't seen each other in a long time...etc. So fun!

Thanks, Lady Blogger and Serena for doing my bidding! :D

Laura, thanks for stopping by my blog! I tend to watch the people sitting alone on the train, taking note of their mannerisms, etc. When I see families and couples, I think about where they are going and why. I guess that's just the mind of a writer! :D

I've been known to misplace to do lists as well. And also shopping lists within five minutes of leaving the house. And addresses when I'm on my way to the post office to mail something. I'd better stop now :P

You'd think I'd stop making lists if I never keep them long enough to use them to help me remember, but nope! I think I write them because I think I'm going to forget something, but then remember what I'm supposed to do without needing the list!
