Mailbox Monday -- October 20

Is anyone else really tired these days? I know I'm still getting over whatever cold I had a couple of weeks ago, but I've been especially tired these last few days. While many of you were participating in the 24-hour read-a-thon, I was taking a blog vacation. Might not have been the smartest thing I've done, with all the unread posts piling up in Google Reader (don't worry, I'll catch up someday), but I feel much better this morning.

******

Anyway, on to Mailbox Monday, hosted by Marcia at The Printed Page. This is what came in the mail for me last week:

The House on Tradd Street by Karen White (for a virtual blog tour next month)

The Safety of Secrets by Delaune Michel (from Book Club Girl for the Oct. 22 book club discussion)

Down to a Sunless Sea by Mathias B. Freese (from the author)

Tomato Girl by Jayne Pupek (from the author)

The Middle Sister
by Bonnie Glover (Thanks Bonnie!)

Open Slowly by Dayle Furlong (from Tightrope Books for Mini Book Expo for Bloggers)

I look forward to getting started on these soon!

What came in YOUR mailbox last week??

I loved Tomato Girl and have The Safety of Secrets on my wish list. I'm tired, too, but it's because I don't get enough sleep.

I'm just working up my review of Down to a Sunless Sea right now. I'll be interested to see what you thnk of it. I should ask for an ARC of Tomato Girl if she's still giving them out. The reviews have been good.I got Shopping for Porcupine from Mini Book Expo, which is due for a review any time now. Hope your energy picks up real soon. I had a good haul this week too.

I know what you mean about needing to catch up on reading blog posts! Every time I finally do, I wind up falling behind again.

Great book haul! I'm dying to read The Safety of Secrets and I just got Tomato Girl last week!

I feel your pain about the blog post backlog - every time I catch up I'm behind again! I have heard good stuff about Tomato Girl - will look forward to your review.

Serena: It was! I was surprised and excited!

Bermudaonion: Getting enough sleep is always a problem for me. I stay up way too late reading blogs, and 4 am comes way too soon. I hope you get a chance to read those books!

Dar: Can't wait to read your reviews. I'm more than halfway through The Safety of Secrets now!

Dawn: Thanks! It's amazing what a lazy day or two can do for you!

Sandra: Looking forward to your reviews! I haven't heard of Shopping for Porcupine, but that's certainly an interesting title!

Wendi: I've seen a lot of great reviews of Tomato Girl. Can't wait to get to that one!

Avisannschild: Everyone posts too quickly for me to catch up!! Usually I stay up really late on Friday nights trying to catch up, but the last couple Fridays I was either too sick or too tired. Looking forward to your review of Tomato Girl.

Elizabeth: Not that I want everyone to be behind like me, but it's good to know I'm not alone! ;)

Marie: I've got a few books ahead of Tomato Girl, and it's sitting on the shelf taunting me! I've been seeing the great reviews, too.

I'd love to know what you think of the Bonnie Glover book. I just read Going Down South and loved it!
