Mailbox Monday -- November 17

Just a few books this week, but it's not like I don't have tons of review copies and other books waiting for me!!

Here's what I received last week:

The Hierophant of 100th Street by Cullen Dorn (from Library Thing Early Reviewers)

Hitler and Mars Bars by Dianne Ascroft (from the author)

The Paper Bag Christmas by Kevin Alan Milne (contest win from Redlady's Reading Room...thanks Bonnie!)

A Special Mission: Hitler's Secret Plot to Seize the Vatican and Kidnap Pope Pius XII by Dan Kurzman and A Death in Belmont by Sebastian Junger (from Serena and her hubby for my birthday...thanks you guys!!)

These sound good, and I can't wait to read them!

What did books did you buy or receive in your mailbox last week??

Mailbox Monday is hosted by Marcia from The Printed Page. Thanks, Marcia!

I took a blog vacation this weekend to spend my birthday with my family, so I'm a bit behind. I'll be reading all your blogs and hope to have some time to comment, but I'll be playing catch up for a bit. Just so ya'll didn't think I disappeared! ;)

Happy birthday, Anna! For the second week in a row I have nothing to post about on Monday, unless something comes in the mail tomorrow! (Not that I'm complaining; like you I've got lots of books waiting for me already!) Hope you had a great weekend with your family!

I hope you had a great birthday! I haven't heard of most of the books you got, but I am expecting Paper Bag Christmas to show up any day now. The author will be on Blog Talk Radio this Friday.

Thanks everyone for the birthday wishes! They really made my day!

Avisannschild: Thank you! Sorry about your lack of book-related mail. I bet you're catching up on the books you have waiting for you already! ;)

Veens: Thank you!

Sandra: Thanks! I'm a bit behind in blog reading, but I'll get to your Mailbox post soon!

Bermudaonion: Thanks! It was great! Oh, and thanks for letting me know about the Blog Talk Radio broadcast! I wish I had more time to listen to those!

Wendi: Thanks! My husband and daughter took me out to breakfast, then Serena and her husband went with us bowling, and then we went out to my fave restaurant. It was great! Hope you enjoy Hitler and Mars Bars. It looks good and I'm intrigued by the title.

Gautami: I love the title, too. Can't wait to figure out what it means! And thanks for the birthday wishes! I already received 2 books for my birthday, and my good friend Jeannie gave me a gift certificate, so they'll be more in my future!

Amy: Thanks!

Dar: Thanks! I hope I get to read the book before Christmas! It's a short one, so it's a good possibility.

Naida: Thanks!

Shana: Thanks! I can't wait to read those. Serena's hubby actually picked that one out for me. I was impressed! Oh, and I've ordered more WWII-related books, and I can't wait for them to come in!

I hope you like the books we got you. I want to read that Hitler and Mars bars when you're done!

I had a fun time in the WWII section at the bookstore.

Happy Birthday, Anna! I hope you have a great 'vacation' (and I'm realizing that I'm 5 days behind...since you posted this on the 16th. Sheesh!) Saturday is usually my catch up day for the week, so I'm sure I'll be back tomorrow to read everything else I missed during the week.

April: Thanks for the birthday wishes! I'll have to pop over to your blog to see your review of The Paper Bag Christmas. I'm a bit behind in my blog reading, but I'll make it over there soon.

Trish: Thanks for the birthday wishes! No worries about stopping by late! I'm behind in my blog reading as well. Everyone posts faster than I can read them all! I'm having a great vacation so far. So glad I'm just staying home and doing nothing but hanging out with my daughter. I'd rather not be traveling this time of year.
