Mailbox Monday -- January 4

Another Mailbox Monday, hosted by Marcia from The Printed Page, where we list the books that came into our homes over the past week.

I know I haven't been online much since Christmas Eve (Google Reader has told me so), but I did manage to drag myself away from the Wii Fit long enough to get the mail. I actually received some books last week!

I received a package from my buddy Susan Helene Gottfried of West of Mars and Win a Book fame. She's written a book, and I was thrilled to find it in the package. Thank you so much, Susan. I hope you don't forget us little people. Here are the bookish goodies she sent me:

ShapeShifter: The Demo Tapes (Year 1)
by Susan Helene Gottfried

A Blessing on the Moon by Joseph Skibell

The Lost: A Search for Six of Six Million
by Daniel Mendelsohn

Isn't she great?? Here are the other books I received:

I Romanced the Stone: Memoirs of a Recovering Hippie
by Marvin D. Wilson (Thanks, Marvin, for sending me this book. I can't wait to read it!)

The Scent of Sake by Joyce Lebra (from HarperCollins First Look)

What books did you welcome into your home last week?

Interesting and bountiful mailbox this week!

Bermudaonion: I guess it was! :)

Jo-Jo: Thanks!

Jenners: It was bountiful! I go a couple of weeks without much of anything and then I get slammed. Not that I'm complaining... ;)

Isn't the Wii Fit wonderful? I'm actually loving everything about the Wii - I find we are on our feet all the time when we play now!

The Scent of Saki is supposed to be good! Happy Reading. Here's my Mailbox!

Serena: I'll let you borrow it when I'm done, of course.

Callista: I agree! I'll pop over to your mailbox now.

Wendi: The Wii totally rocks! It's definitely worth the money. I hope the Sake book is good...I just got it a few days ago with a letter saying they'd like it reviewed by the 15th. What short notice! I'll pop over to your mailbox, too.

ME, forget the little people? Babe, from where I sit *I* am the little people. A writer is nothing without readers and fans. You guys are the big people -- and utterly impossible to forget or stop appreciating.

I owe YOU for being so interested in The Demo Tapes and my fictional world.

The Lost sound so interesting! I was intrigued by the title and had to go look it up on amazon. How neat that you got a copy of Susan's book!

Thank you for stopping by the 'mailbox' this week. I've been eyeing 'The Scent of Sake'. It's made it as far as a wish list. I'm hoarding my Amazon $$$.

Marcia: I'm reading The Scent of Sake now. I'm only about 50 pages in, but so far so good. Thanks for hosting!
