Wow! I can't believe January is over already! I was a busy bee during the month, and I'm doing well on my goal of reviewing every book I read. (I only have 2 books on my coffee table waiting to be reviewed.) I thought it might be nice to take stock of my reading each month.
In January, I read 10 books and reviewed 8. I even made a pretty good dent in my reading for the WWII challenge at War Through the Generations, finishing 3 books. Here's my list for the month:
Breathing Out the Ghost by Kirk Curnutt [reviewed here]
10 Days: Anne Frank by David Colbert [reviewed here]
Reading by Lightning by Joan Thomas [reviewed here]
The Scent of Sake by Joyce Lebra [reviewed here]
To My Senses by Alexandrea Weis [reviewed here]
Frantic by Katherine Howell [reviewed here]
Down to a Sunless Sea by Mathias B. Freese [reviewed here]
The Holocaust: The Nazis Seize Power, 1933-1941 by Stuart A. Kallen [reviewed here]
Cooperative Village by Frances Madeson [reviewed here]
Sinner's Guide to Confession by Phyllis Schieber [reviewed here]
I hope I can keep up this pace! I probably would've finished one more had I not been sick for several days. Thems the breaks, I guess.
What did you read in January?

looks like the organization bug has caught you. good luck with posting reviews for all you have read. I know you can do it.
I have no idea what I read last month...lol JK
Serena: I'm trying my hardest to be more organized. I seem to get more done that way.
You read some good books this month! I feel like I read fluff! I need to bite into a good book!
You had a great reading month. I hope February's as good for you.
You did awesome. I'm about to start 10 Days Anne Frank book that you and The Girl read so that will be the first for the War Challenge and then Sarah's Key is right behind it. I hope February is just as good for you.
Wow, you were productive! I reviewed 8 books in January (although I actually read a couple in December). One particular audio really took most of my month...Outlander, which was 28 discs long. As soon as I start a book, I get antsy in trying to finish it because there are soooo many I want to get to! Ack!
What a great re-cap Anna! That's a great idea! Your pace just amazes me!
I put down the last book I tried to read: "The Independence of Miss Mary Bennet". I got less than a quarter of the way through and had to quit. How do you handle books you just can't love? Are there ever any?
PS. I'd be a terrible reviewer! LOL! ")
Hi Anna, I only read 4 books in January, they are listed on my blog Bella is reading . . ..
dude... that's like a crazy amount of reading. it must be because it's winter and nothing's better than curling up with a good book???
anyway, i gave you another award... i just like you to pieces!
Kristi: Hey, fluff serves its purpose. I think I might be in need of some!
Bermudaonion: Thanks! Me, too!
Dar: Thanks! I can't wait to hear what you think of the 10 Days: Anne Frank book!
Sandy: 28 discs! Wow! I think the longest audio book I've ever listened to was 8 or something like that. There are some books I like to savor, but usually I just plug along so I can get to more good books!
Dawn: It's been awhile since I couldn't finish a book, thankfully. If it's an awful book, I'll give it 20 pages of my time. After that, I'm done. I'm lucky that I've been a pretty good judge of books lately and that hasn't happened. I might not love every book I read, but at least lately there's been something that keeps me going til the end. (Btw, I don't think you'd be a bad reviewer at all!)
Bella: I'll have to go check out your list!
ANovelMenagerie: Seriously, I just have so much time to read on the trains in the morning and afternoon. I don't get much reading done at home! And thanks so much for the award!!
I can't believe it's February also! You were able to get a lot of reading done and I hope this month goes as well.
Trish: Thanks!
I hope you girls continue to enjoy Coraline! It was one of my favorite books last year. Of course now I can't wait to see the film :)
Iliana: Glad to hear it made your list of favorites. We're about halfway through now. We're both enjoying it, but I think The Girl was hoping for something scarier. We plan to finish it in time to see the movie on Sat.
What a productive month! :) Love when that happens.
It looks like January was a great reading month for you, Anna! I didn't get nearly as much read as I would have liked, but I'm hoping this month will be more reading friendly. The upcoming long weekend will definitely help.
Great reading month!
J. Kaye: I actually read more than I thought I would. I slowed down a bit this month, but only because work was a pain in the butt.
Literary Feline: I hope you had a lot of reading time this weekend. I spent much of the long weekend on the couch napping. But I sooo needed it!
Ladytink: Thanks!
