The Girl's thoughts on The Suburban Dragon by Garasamo Maccagnone

The Suburban Dragon by Garasamo Maccagnone (Illustrated by Al Ochsner)

Reviewed by The Girl (age 8)

This book is about three kids who want to save their mom when a dragon pops up and kidnaps her. The kids think up ways to rescue their mom. I liked this book because it has action, with the kids pretending to be knights and princesses. The illustrations are colorful and do a good job showing the action. I read this book to my mom, and it was easy for me to read. I enjoyed the book, but I think younger kids would enjoy it even more.

Disclosure:  We received a free copy of The Suburban Dragon for review purposes.

That is such a nice review! Anna, I think it is great that you share your passion with your daughter. I've taken your lead in this respect, and have my kids fully invested in putting their reviews on my blog!

Great review by "the Girl". Knights and princesses sound very exciting. Glad you enjoyed the book and I'm sure your Mom loved having it read to her.

I always had dreams as a kid that dinosaurs were kidnapping my family. Ah, the memories!

I passed up a review copy of this one, darn it. Sounds great. Not that I need children's books, right now, but you're never too old for princesses and dragons.

What a nice review! I have this one, as well as a few other Children books that I need to get read and reviewed. I have a 6 year old that I will have to ask her opinion on this one also!

I was hoping to get my hands on this one. We are a dragon and pirate family here. I asked for it in an email, when did you get it?(I am wondering if it could still possibly be in the mail).

Great review that your little Girl did there! I can't wait until my boys are old enough to help me with my load!! (hahah)

Happy reading to you two!!

Sandy: I saw the review with your daughter and loved it! When she was born, my husband was hoping she'd be into sports like he is. But I told him I'd been reading to her since she was in the womb and she was going to be a bookworm. I'm always right. ;P

Kaye: Thanks! The Girl appreciates your kind words. I did enjoy listening to her read. She's getting so good at it.

Carol: It was! I think she would've enjoyed it more a couple of years ago, though.

Lenore: Oh my daughter would love to be kidnapped by dinosaurs. Seriously. She thinks the part in one of those Jurassic Park movies where T-Rex is staring in the kid's window is soo cool. Me, not so much. LOL

Bookfool: So true!

Staci: Thanks!

April: I can't wait to hear what she thinks.

Serena: Stay tuned. There are several in the pipeline!

Iliana: She wants her own blog already, but I told her she has to wait a few years. :)

Naida: Thanks!

Bethany: Thanks! We received the book on Feb. 2 I believe. Right around there anyway.
