Still, I managed to finish 11 books last month, bringing my total for the year to 90. Now if I can read just 10 more books this year, I'll make my goal of 100. I'm pretty confident I'll surpass this goal, but by how much, who knows?
Here is the list of books I read in September, and you can click the links to read my reviews:
Catching Fire by Suzanne Collins
The Late, Lamented Molly Marx by Sally Koslow
The Apple by Penelope Holt*
Millie's Fling by Jill Mansell
Testimony by Anita Shreve
Katie & Kimble: A Ghost Story by Linda Thieman**
Time of My Life by Allison Winn Scotch
Night of Flames by Douglas W. Jacobson*
Bending Toward the Sun by Leslie Gilbert-Lurie with Rita Lurie*
Kali and the Rat Snake by Zai Whitaker and Srividya Natarajan**
Dancing With Ana by Nicole Barker
*counts toward the WWII reading challenge at War Through the Generations
**reviewed with The Girl
I also posted a semi-review of Nella Last's Peace by Patricia and Robert Malcolmson (editors), but as I didn't finish the book, I didn't include it in my totals for the month.
So tell me...how many books did you read in September? Are you keeping up with your personal reading goals?

You had a great month Anna. I have to read Suzanne Collins' books. I loved Testimony too. Have a great October.
I wish I could be this prolific!
You did have a great reading month! :)
It's often hard to find as much time to read as I'd like, but sometimes even a little bit goes a long way for me.
Hey, I'm with you on the back to school chaos. What I am learning is that it does not die down...as they get older, it just gets worse. (I now have two that are in different sports, band and hours of homework every night.) So with that in mind, I am amazed that you read as much as you did. Bravo to you!
Whew! Great month for you! I'm hoping to join the 100 books reading challenge for 2010. I don't really join a ton of the challenges (no time!!!!) but this is one that I've seen around a lot and think that I could handle.
Eleven in darn good even when you're not busy!

I'm sure you will meet your goal of 100 books this year! I had a good Sept. I only have one in high school and still have back to school chaos and then there's the kid in college who wants food and his laundry done! LOL
September was a great month!! I hear you on the back-to-school craziness. Now that I'm back to work, football mom, there never seems to be enough time to just read!! I'm sure you will hit your goal of 100!!
Wow! 11 books is a lot of reading done. Good for you. And you definitely will go over the 100 mark. I am also hoping to finish the 100+ challenge with the emphasis on +.
If I read 11 books in a month I would be jumping for joy! It looks like you read a lot of interesting books (I still have Bending Towards the Sun on my TBR list sigh).
All-the-time school chaos is right - that's exactly what I've been going through too! You still did a great job getting through a lot of books though!
What 11? That's like a dream for me :d
I read 3 :D
You had a great month.
Finding time to read has been tough for me lately. I'm not even sure why.
You read some great books!
I still haven't done my Sept wrap up yet! I tried to read an Anita Shreve book this month (A Change of Altitude) and just couldn't get into it. I did read Millie's Fling though and enjoyed it as much as I did her other books that I have read. I just received Night of Flames and Bending Toward the Sun to read this month.
Nice job!
I'm looking at your list with pure envy, but I know how disappointing it can be to not meet your own expectations. Hope things settle down this month!
You hoped to do more reading in September? Gosh, I thought you got a lot read! I did read Night of Flames and Bending Toward the Sun as well and enjoyed both of them.
Great month for you, wasn't it? I'm sure you'll make your goal of 100!
Thanks everyone! I seriously wouldn't read so much if I didn't have the long train ride everyday. I had to drive in to work one day a couple of weeks ago, and I realized I'd lost 4.5 hours of reading time! I was so upset. LOL
