Here's what I received last week:
For review:
The Dolphin People by Torsten Krol
Ivy + Bean: Doomed to Dance by Annie Barrows and Sophie Blackall (illus.)
The Things That Keep Us Here by Carla Buckley
Lion's Pride by Debbie Jordan
Kathy from Bermudaonion's Weblog kindly sent me this book:
I Have My Mother's Eyes: A Holocaust Memoir Across Generations by Barbara Ruth Bluman
Thanks so much, Kathy!
And I snagged this book from the library for 50 cents:
The Reader by Bernhard Schlink
What books did you welcome into your home recently?
[Just want to let you all know that I won't be online this week, but I've pre-scheduled some posts. I'm on a mental health vacation, which for me is sitting at home just reading and relaxing. I'll catch up with your comments and your blogs when I return on the 30th. Don't miss me too much! ;)]

Oh, we will miss you, but everyone deserves a break! You've got some great books here. I saw that WWII book reviews on Kathy's site and it sounded great (well, you know, in a WWII kind of way!).
Great books, but that Dolphin People book is very psychedelic! LOL Have a great time off. I wish I could have been off too...but alas I will be for part of Christmas week! That's to my mental health!
I'll be interested in hearing about the Dolphin People. I read Callisto, and that is one unusual author!
Good for you for taking a mental health vacation! Have a good Thanksgiving!!!!!
You had a great week and you're in for a treat with The Reader. I thought both the book and the movie were fantastic!
Anna, everyone needs time away - enjoy!
I read The Reader several years ago. Heard wonderful things about the film but haven't seen it yet.
Enjoy all your books : )
They look interesting, I really like the feather one.
happy reading Anna :)
I got the IVY & BEAN book as well and it is hilarious! My review will be up during your blogging break, but I hope you'll come back and check it out when you return, feeling rested and refreshed of course. :)
What a lovely cover that edition of The Reader has! Have a relaxing break!
Greetings,
Tiina
