Anyway, it's time for Mailbox Monday, the weekly meme graciously hosted by Marcia from The Printed Page where bookworms list the titles they received for review, purchased, or otherwise obtained during the last week.
Here are the books I added to the already sagging shelves...er...floor:
Breathing Water by Timothy Hallinan (contest win)

I got The Information Officer too. I'm looking forward to reading it. I hope you enjoy your new books!
I'm hearing you on the overwhelmed part. It started at the beginning of the school year and has never really left. Not to wish my life away, but I keep telling myself that once I get past Christmas, maybe I can get a handle. Anyway, love the books this week. I'm curious to know if the Sea MOnsters matches up with the Zombies!
I read Shanghai Girls a few months ago (ARC). I'll watch for your review!
I am really looking forward to Shanghai Girls!!
I got Shanghai Girls and SS&SM! I really wanted The Information Officer, but no luck! :( Enjoy the books.
My kid doesn't have school for Veteran's Day. I wonder if a lot of schools have changed that.
You got so many good books! Hope you enjoy them all. Make sure you look me up in Shanghai Girls too. I made the Acknowledgments (pg 314 - Debbie Wright) because I was in an online book club with the author during the time she was writing it. She was so very kind to mention the club members. Really! I know it's bragging but it's just so darn cool!!
Have a wonderful week!
Lol you got the sea monster book! :D
that one must be so silly
I've got my books stacked up on the floor too! :) It's funny because when I was in school we used to never get veteran's day off (we barely got any three day weekends). Now my kids' schools have budgets that are so tight that they get three day weekends and weeks off quite frequently (one gets the entire week off for Thanksgiving). Our district is at the bare minimum for required school days, and I think that's kind of sad.
I have Shanghai Girls too. Looking forward to reading it, if I ever can fit it in! Can't wait to read your review.
Enjoy all the books!
Thank you all for stopping by my mailbox!
~Wrighty: I'll be sure to look you up. That's really cool!
