Back to Normal (Almost...)

Today was my first day back to the office since the big blizzard, and today was The Girl's first day back to school.  It was nice to get out of the house because we were going stir crazy!

I've been pretty scarce on the blogs lately.  It was exhausting working from home AND trying to occupy a 9-year-old, and most nights I just couldn't get myself to go back online.  Sorry I haven't been keeping up with you all, but I hope to catch up soon.

Also, I just wanted to point you to something new on Diary of an Eccentric.  I took advantage of Blogger's new Pages gadget and added pages under my header for my review policy, book review links, links to author interviews and guest posts, and information about the War Through the Generations reading challenge blog.  It took a few hours to get the pages all sorted out, but it was worth it since they helped de-clutter my sidebar.  I'm pretty happy with it for now.

I haven't done a lot of reading lately, given that I didn't have to commute to work.  It was nice rolling out of bed and turning on the laptop, but it really cut into my reading time.  Hopefully, I'll have some reviews soon!

I like your new header. I added this new feature, but put it on my sidebar. Haven't quite figured it out yet. I actually started to work on it and got sidetracked. You know how that is?
Glad you've dug out of the blizzard. :)

That was some snowstorm you were hit with and it sounds like it had pros and cons to being at home:) I like that blogger allows us to add the page tabs. I couldn't figure out how to get them horizontal under my header and their vertical. Any suggestions? It sugggests adding it to your header but there aren't options in the header section. It may be my template.

When I get a couple of hours, I am going to add those pages too. I'm told it is easy to do with Blogger's new feature, now I just need to decide WHAT pages to add! Glad your life is getting back to normal. I do not like it when I get out of my routine!

I like the page feature! I'll have to look into it. My sidebar is getting too cluttered for my taste. I'm glad you survived the blizzard and are getting out. That must feel like breath of fresh air!

It must feel so good to get out of the house; I can't imagine! I also added pages and am happy with it since the sidebar is WAY cleaner now.

One of the reasons why I left blogger was because of their lack of features. I'm glad they added that option for you. It looks nice and clean.

I had no idea you were snowed in all this time! So many people are getting pounded by the weather.

Happy back to working! I can only imagine how stir crazy you've been. I'm very iffy when I'm stuck in the house.

I really like the look of your blog right now. Hopefully everything will work out for you, with the snowstorm lessening.

I've been wanting to add the pages but it will probably mean going back to two-column instead of three and all of that means I have to find a free weekend. Right--like that's going to happen.

I'll bet it did feel better to get back into the usual routine.

Thank you all for your kind words about the new pages on my blog. I know I'm really behind in responding to my comments, and I apologize.

I think I responded by e-mail to those who asked, but if I didn't, I apologize. To create pages in Blogger, you go under "Posting" and "Edit Pages." It took me awhile to find it, but once I did, it was a piece of cake.

If any of you have any other questions, feel free to shoot me an e-mail!
