Mailbox Monday -- February 8

Happy Monday everyone!  We're still digging out from about 30 inches of snow in the Baltimore area, and let me just say that I'm so done with winter!  And to think we have another 6 to 10 inches on the way tomorrow and Wednesday.  I wish I could've snapped a pic of The Girl diving into a snowdrift and struggling to get out.  She's tall for a 9-year-old, and the snow is nearly up to her waist.  We're doing our best to stay warm and not go stir crazy, but we know we're faring better than others because we lost power only once for about 20 minutes during some "thunder snow."

Needless to say, between shoveling snow and nursing my cold, I'm behind in reading blogs and posting reviews.  Hopefully I can catch up soon!

Anyway, it's time for Mailbox Monday, the weekly meme hosted by Marcia from The Printed Page where book lovers share the titles they received for review, purchased, or otherwise obtained during the past week.  Only two this time around for me:

In the Wake of the Boatman by Jonathon Scott Fuqua, from Bancroft Press

The Yellow House by Patricia Falvey, from Hachette

What books did you add to your shelves recently?

These books look familiar! LOL Happy reading and shoveling. I posted photos over the weekend and with the mailbox monday post. It has been fun around here. We got out yesterday for a bit since my husband didn't have boots and has been shoveling in sneakers...Um, yeah, lets just say that it has been interesting.

I think I'm getting The Yellow House this week. Fingers crossed. My mailbox is at The Crowded Leaf.

Oy! More shoveling. Yuk! That's the biggest reason we left New England. Your area has had a rough winter this year, that's for sure.

your new books look good. I hope you enjoy them. Stay warm and happy reading.

Sorry about all your snow. We're supposed to get 12-14 inches tomorrow (which I'm sure seems insignificant to you at this point :D). I've added The Yellow House to my wish list. Have a great week!

All that snow! GAH!

I added 4 books to the "collection" while here in Florida on vacation. My hubby now says my suitcase is heavier and he is blaming the books LOL

The Yellow House looks good. I hope you get dug out and the next storm is kinder to you. We are suppose to get 10-14 inches of snow tomorrow but I hate to complain after all the snow you got!

The Yellow House looks good! 30 inches is a lot of snow! The biggest snowfall I've seen is 22 inches.

Both of these look good, and I love the covers. I really look forward to your thoughts on them. Too bad about the weather but now you know how Canadians feel-all winter long. This too shall pass. Have a fun snow day or two.:)

30 inches of snow...wow. I could do with some here. It's so hot and it's supposed to be rainy season I'm told :)

I've read a few good reviews on In the wake of Batman. Hope you enjoy both the books.

I feel so bad for you with all that snow. Usually it's me complaining about the snow. Take care of that cold!
