Fall Into Reading 2008

I think the time is right to join my first challenge! Fall Into Reading 2008 appealed to me right away because we can read as many books as we'd like and whatever books we'd like between now and Dec. 20. I already have a bunch of books on deck (some of which are for virtual book tours) so why not make them part of the challenge and give myself a little extra incentive to finish them?

Here's my list:

The Heretic Queen by Michelle Moran
Testimony by Anita Shreve
The Lucky One by Nicholas Sparks
The 19th Wife by David Ebershoff
The Memorist by M.J. Rose
Life After Genius by M.Ann Jacoby
Any Given Doomsday by Lori Handeland
The Wonder Singer by George Rabasa
Black Box by Julie Schumacher
Off the Menu by Christine Son
Owen Fiddler by Marvin D. Wilson
Cold Rock River by J.L. Miles
The Ladies of Longbourn by Rebecca Ann Collins
Pemberley by the Sea by Abigail Reynolds

You can check out what other participants are reading at Callapidder Days.

What are YOU reading this fall??

Hi, Sharon! I hope your copy arrives soon! I'm looking forward to hearing what you think about it! I've seen one or two blog reviews already and it sounds interesting.

I haven't read any of the books on your list, but I have several on my wishlist. I've heard such good things about The Heretic Queen and The Memorist. And I love Nicholas Sparks' books (but I don't have The Lucky One in my possession, yet...just a matter of time, I'm sure ;o)). Can't wait to hear what you have to say about these!

Anna, I haven't posted my list yet but plan to participate in this challenge.

I see some we'll have in common: Testimony, Off the Menu, Cold Rock River and maybe The Heretic Queen if I receive it in time.

Good luck!

Looks like a great list. I'm not doing any challenges this fall but that doesn't mean I don't have a huge stack of books waiting for me. :-)
Thanks for posting your url in your comments on my blog; I've been trying to respond to your comments but keep getting held up at the blogger page "we can't find that user" blah blah blah. Anyway I've added you to my watch list so I shouldn't have that problem any more! :-)

Great list Anna. I've got a few of those to read also-The Heretic Queen and I can't wait for Nicholas Sparks' new one. Happy reading, I look forward to your reviews.

I'm finishing up Housekeeping by Marilynne Robinson right now. On deck are The Unfortunates by BS Johnson, No One Tells Everything by Rae Meadows, and White Noise by DeLillo.

good list of books you have there!

Wow, that is quite a list! I have so many challenges going on, I am hesitant to sign up for another. :) Of course, I have tons of books on my nightstand that need to be read.

I can't wait to hear what you think of Any Given Doomsday. The reviews I have seen have been both good and bad. It always amazes me how people can have such different reactions to the same book. :)

Practical Magic is the only book I have read by Alice Hoffman. I really liked it, so I may have to go and get the one you mentioned in your comments.

I want to read "The Lucky One" by Nicholas Sparks! I am so in the mood for one of his books.

Bermudaonion: You've got a great list, too. Can't wait to read your reviews!

Ramya: I wasn't sure whether to join the challenge either, but I figured there are books I've already agreed to read, so why not just list those! If you decide to join, let me know. I'd love to see your list.

Trish, Bethany: I can't wait to read The 19th Wife! The author will be stopping by my blog in November via TLC Book Tours.

Kristi: Nefertiti was my favorite book that I've read this year, so I can't wait to read The Heretic Queen! And I love Nicholas Sparks! I've read all his books, and I've been waiting awhile for a new one!

Shana: Can't wait to see your list and your reviews of those books! We really do have similar reading tastes!

Marie: You should see the stack of books that I didn't list for the challenge! LOL I've been putting my URL in blogger comments because my profile appears to be broken, and I've contacted them, and they don't seem to want to fix it. :( Thanks for adding me to your watch list! :)

Dar: Thanks! Looking forward to your reviews as well!

Cari: Thanks for letting me know what you're planning to read. I'm definitely going to check out Housekeeping.

Serena: I'm glad we have some of the same books listed. I like having someone to chat with about what I'm reading!

Mari: I've seen the mixed reviews for Any Given Doomsday. I've never read any urban fantasy before, so it should be interesting. If you read Skylight Confessions, do let me know what you think!

J. Kaye: I can't wait to read the new Sparks, too. I'm in the mood for a good romance.
