Mailbox Monday -- February 9

It's time for another Mailbox Monday, hosted by Marcia from The Printed Page. Thanks, Marcia!

Last week, I received two books I requested for The Girl via Bostick Communications:

The Suburban Dragon by Garasamo Maccagnone (The review should be coming soon, as she read the book the day it came in the mail!)

Too Tall Alice by Barbara Worton

I also received a box of books from Soho Press that will be perfect for the WWII Reading Challenge at War Through the Generations:

A Deadly Paradise by Grace Brophy

Kiyo's Story: A Japanese-American Family's Quest for the American Dream by Kiyo Sato

Zoo Station by David Downing

Silesian Station by David Downing

Billy Boyle: A World War II Mystery by James R. Benn

The First Wave: A Billy Boyle World War II Mystery by James R. Benn

Blood Alone: A Billy Boyle World War II Mystery
by James R. Benn

I can't wait to get started on these!

What books did you welcome into your home last week?

I'm interested to see what Zoo Station is all about. I always think of U2 when I see that. While I was in Berlin back in 97 I made sure to go there and have my picture taken. I wonder where that is now?

I love Soho Press books. I think I may have a copy of A Deadly Paradise in my immediate TBR pile. I hope you will enjoy Zoo Station as much as I did. I'm looking forward to reading Silesian Station one day.

Happy Reading, Anna!

Well everyone else is getting Too Tall Alice and I haven't received it yet so it looks like another children's book from Bostick I won't get. I know barely anyone if anyone gets all the books they request but it seems I don't get a lot of children's books.

Wow, that is some list of books. I sure wish someone would send me a box of books. lol.

Bostick seems to be a good source of children's books.

Ooh, I'm a bit jealous of your Soho Press box :)

I hope you enjoy the Brophy book. I'm so glad you mentioned it as I didn't realize she had a second one out. I read her first Cenni book last year and really enjoyed it. A bit different from the typical mystery novel so it was a nice read.

Bermudaonion: I probably should clarify. I said box, but it was a huge envelope that should have been a box if you saw the condition in which it arrived. LOL

Alea: It took awhile for her to email me back and over a week to receive the books after she said they were in the mail. I'm sure you'll hear from them!

Tanabata: I already was busy! LOL

Serena: There's no stopping her! LOL

Mary: Wait til you see my mailbox post for 2/16. I got lucky this time around.

Jo-Jo: I already had enough to keep me busy for years!

Red lady-Bonnie: Thanks!

Jeannie: I see even more cooking in your future!

Literate Housewife: Me, too. I'd love to visit Germany some day.

Literary Feline: They do have a great selection of books! Your review of Zoo Station made me glad I requested a copy!

Callista: I've lucked out with the kid's books. I don't request too much from Bostick, though. Maybe you'll get lucky soon!

Dar: Be careful what you wish for! LOL

Nicole: So far, so good.

Iliana: I didn't realize it was a series. Hopefully I can read book 2 without having to know anything from the first one...

Alyce: Thanks!

Wendi: My daughter enjoyed it. We'll be posting the review soon.

Marcia: Thanks for hosting!
