This Post Is Brought to You by the Letter N

After seeing Serena's post about 10 things she loves beginning with the letter W, I figured I'd give it a shot. She gave me the letter N. I'm not sure if I had a brain freeze or the letter N is too hard for me, but it took awhile.

10 Things I Love Beginning With the Letter N

1. Novels--I think this one is pretty obvious.

2. Night--I'm a night owl and do a lot of my writing when I'm the only one awake in the house.

3. Newkirk--I love Hogan's Heroes, and Newkirk (played by Richard Dawson) is my favorite character. I'm a sucker for a handsome man with a British accent.

4. New England--I lived most of my life in CT and moved to MA for my last two years of college. I know I'll move back there someday.

5. New Hampshire--My father always took us on vacation to the White Mountains when my sister and I were little. The last time I went was when The Girl was just a baby, and I thought of my dad the whole time.

6. Nefertiti--This historical fiction novel by Michelle Moran was my favorite of the books I read in 2008.

7. Noodles--I hate to admit it, but I'm a carb junkie.

8. Naps--If I don't take one at some point during the weekend, I'm grumpy. And then when I wake up on the couch with a pain in my neck or back, I'm grumpy anyway.

9. Neiman Marcus--I can't afford to shop there, but Serena and I certainly have fun browsing and making fun of some of the hideous, overpriced merchandise.

10. Nephew--My sister had a baby in October, and I finally get to meet him next month at his baptism. Living so far from family is hard, which is why I want to eventually move back north.

So there you have it. If anyone wants a letter, let me know in the comments, and I'll give you one.

Neiman Marcus has some ugly stuff. it always surprises me how expensive they are, too.

LOL I love Bermuda's comment. Niemus Marcus is what we've been calling it...lo I think hers is better.

Too bad Neil didn't make the list and how he reminds you of those days in Boston.

And we call BMW - Big Money Waste - down here in Big D. Hey, I'll take a letter. Good list. I love NH, too. My brother still lives there in Bow. Don't speed. He's a cop.

You do sort of freeze up when you have that letter staring you in the face. I had U. It was very taxing to find 10 things that I liked that started with that letter. BTW, I am a carb junkie too. My butt hates me for it...

Sorry for the mess... you know me. Airhead. :-)
Guilty of carb junksterness, too. :)
I got my letter from Bunny. She gave me an G. It was harder than I thought it would be.
NM? See my post: http://musingnmeandering.blogspot.com/2009/01/does-anyone-else-find-this-funny.html
Newkirk? He was my favorite, too.
New England is quite beautiful. Hubby and I got snowed in in Vermont once. Had a great time!

NM needless markup - that's a good one. Reminds me of a friend who was into old cars and called NAPA never any parts available. N- do you like eating nougat in your naughty nighties negligee? Now, I think my brain is numb.

OOOh, give me a letter Anna! :)
Your list is great, and everyone's comments are too funny. I've never shopped NM but I'm pretty frugal anyway, I'd probably wander through and walk out without anything even if I had the money! LOL!

I'm such a night owl too. I like it when all is quite -- somehow I get more done. less distractions and all that I guess.

And, yes, Nefertiti was great. Have you read the follow up? I need to catch up.

Bermudaonion: Too funny!

Mari: That was our thought exactly. I don't think the saleswomen were too happy with some of the comments we made to one another. Oops...

Serena: Sorry to disappoint you with my list.

Karen: I'm not the speeder in the family. That's the hubby. LOL I'll send you a letter in a sec.

Sandy: LOL My butt hated me when I ate all the cake when I was pregnant. Doesn't seem to want to let go of it either and I can't keep using pregnancy as an excuse since she'd 8 now. LOL

Lisa: Great! I sent you a letter.

Some Kind of Wonderful: Boy, do I love Newkirk. LOL He's on my computer at work. Heehee

Staci: I was always bored up in New England, but I've missed it tremendously in the 8 years since I've been gone.

Alyce: Can't live without my naps. That's what I did much of the long weekend. LOL

Lenore: I hear you, but I really should stop napping after eating all the noodles!

Nymeth: Sometimes you need noodles more than novels...

Kaye: Too funny! You should hear some of the words Serena suggested!

Dawn: I sent you a letter. You really don't need to shop there. Just browse the hideousness. LOL

Iliana: I did! And I hope to post the review soon.

What a fun fun idea!! I would love a letter to try it out. It may take me a day or two to get it posted, but it would be fun! Great answers, by the way! I am going to have to get over to Serena's to read her's also!
