I showed The Girl the letter I posted for her on her birthday. As we don't have computer access at home, I printed out the post and gave it to her this weekend to read one night before bed. About five minutes after I went back downstairs to read (well, actually, procrastinate by watching television), I heard, "Mommy! Get up here!"
Wondering what prompted such a cry, I hurried up the steps only to find The Girl grasping the paper with a look of despair. It was this sentence that got her attention:
"And even when you drive me bonkers (something you love to do because, let's face it, you're 7), I still look at you and thank the Lord for giving me such a wonderful gift."
She said, "I can't believe you wrote that, Mommy! Now everyone knows I drive you bonkers!"
Thank goodness my family has a sense of humor because I looked at her and replied, "Well, I wasn't telling them something they didn't already know." A tickle war erupted afterward.
Not much to report on the reading, writing, and knitting front. Hopefully, I'll have updates later this week!

She's always so worried about what other people think. She needs to let go of that man...LOL but she is too cute...she wants everyone to think she's an angel.
She's just like I am sometimes, though I must admit I've gotten much better at not caring.
She is an angel...with horns. LOL
Seriously, I have it easy compared to some parents. Then again, I enjoy motherhood...even the stressful times. I think that makes a big difference. That's where the sense of humor comes in handy.
She is a very humorous chica! that's why we all love her.
