(These were donated in December to The Franciscan Center's clothing drive for the homeless through my church.)
Striped Rib Socks
Yarn: Elann's Sock It to Me! Collection Harlequin (2 balls, color 77)
Needles: U.S. 3 bamboo DPNs
Notes: I knit them to fit my husband, who has a size 11 shoe.
This was my first time knitting with this yarn. I'm not even sure if they still make it because I couldn't find a link to it. It wasn't my favorite sock yarn; it wasn't as soft as I would have liked, but it seemed to knit up a sturdy sock, which is important since it was being donated to the homeless. I have a thing for self-striping yarn, so I'd probably use it again. Actually, I will eventually, because there's more in my charity yarn stash.
I really wish I didn't lose my pattern notes because the pattern was fast and mindless. Maybe I'll try to replicate it someday.

I've never ordered from Elann but have been tempted several times! I'll try to remember that about their sock yarn. I always drool over their other stuff. Wow, knitting for size 11 feet has to be a challenge in itself! I've been making my OWN smaller out of fatigue! ;O)
Take care Anna!
Knitting for big feet isn't bad when you have a mindless pattern. No intricate cables going on there for sure.
OOO she used that kat tattoo that I took...woohoo...
wow you have been blogging while I'm away...maybe I should go away more often. LOL
I remember these socks...
I was a busy bee when you were gone!
